The Past

Where the Vision Began

We became aware of an exploitative employment model that left talented professionals working tirelessly while carrying nearly all of the risk themselves. People were expected to give their time, skill, and loyalty under unstable arrangements, with little certainty they would receive the compensation they had earned.

Behind every résumé is a person. A son or daughter. A parent. Someone supporting a family. Someone chasing a future. Someone who deserves to be treated with dignity.

That realization became the foundation of Soro.

We could not change an entire system overnight. But we could accept part of the burden of changing it by building a company that chose a different path —not by asking what we could take from people, but by asking how we could help them build a better future.

Through our application process, we invited people to share their dreams. Again and again, their answers returned to the same hopes:
